  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • all-purpose flour - 1 c
  • raisins - 1/2 c
  • rolled oats - 1 c
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • sour milk - 1/3 c

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Melt shortening. Beat egg with sugar. Add melted shortening, sour milk and rolled oats. Blend well. Sift flour, soda and baking powder together. Add spices, then add to first mixture. Mix until well blended. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop by te
