  • spiral shaped pasta - 16 oz
  • lb ground beef - 1 item
  • c water - 3/4 item
  • envelope taco seasoning mix - 1 item
  • c shredded cheddar cheese - 2 item
  • large green pepper -- chopped - 1 item
  • medium onion -- chopped - 1 item
  • medium tomato -- chopped - 1 item
  • 1/2 oz ripe olives -- drained - 5 item
  • oz catalina dressing - 16 item

How to make sombrero pasta salad:

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add water and taco seasoning mix; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes.

Rinse pasta in cold water and drain; place in a large bowl. Add beef mixture, cheese, green pepper, onion, tomato, and olives' miss well. Add the dressing and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Yield: 10 servings.
