- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 3/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- molasses - 1/2 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
How to make soft gingerbread:
Combine molasses, sugar, shortening, egg, ginger, salt and baking soda. Beat until smooth. Add flour; mix well. Add boiling water. Beat until smooth. Pour in 8-inch square buttered baking pan. Place in preheated oven at 350° and bake for 35 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Healthy.
