  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • salt
  • flour - 5 c
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • baking soda - 3/4 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 12 oz
  • shortening - 1 c
  • milk and 2 Tbsp

How to make soft chocolate chip cookies:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy. Combine dry ingredients; add alternately with sour milk. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheets by teaspoons. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes. Yields 6 to 8 d
