Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- melted shortening - 1 Tbsp
- lukewarm water - 3/4 c
How to make snow biscuits:
Stir together dry ingredients. Add water and shortening. Dough will be soft. Knead it together quickly and lightly until smooth and elastic. Roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Place in greased pan. Let rise until doubled, about 1/2 hour. Bake at 425° about 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
