  • butter or margarine, melted - 6 Tbsp
  • cream cheese room temperature
  • large egg yolk - 1 item
  • 2/3 c - 4 oz
  • Snickers bars about 6

How to make snickers pie:

Fudge Layer:6 Tbsp. flour1/2 tsp. baking powder1/8 tsp. salt1/2 c. butter or margarine4 oz. (2/3 c.) chocolate chips1 oz. unsweetened chocolate, chopped1/2 c. sugar1 large egg1 large egg yolk1 tsp. vanilla8 1/2 oz. Snickers bars (about 6) Cream Cheese Layer:10 oz. cream cheese (room temperature)1/3 c. sugar1 large egg1 tsp. vanilla Heat oven to 350°. Combine crust ingredients and press into a buttered 9-inch pie pan. Bake about 5 minutes. Cool on a rack. Maintain oven temperature.

Fudge Layer: Mix flour, baking powder and salt into a medium bowl. Combine butter and chocolates in a double boiler; stir until melted and smooth. Cool slightly. Using an electric mixer, beat sugar, egg and egg yolk in a medium bowl until slightly thickened. Add vanilla and cooled chocolate mixture; mix until well blended. Add dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Pour into crust and bake until almost set (about 17 minutes). Cool on rack for 10 minutes. Cut up Snickers bars and place on fudge layer. With an electric mixer, combine cream cheese and sugar; add egg and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread mixture over Snickers bars and fudge layer; bake for 15 minutes or until set. Cool on rack. Refrigerate and serve chilled with Cool Whip.
