- stalks celery - 4 item
- large onion - 1 item
- large bell pepper - 1 item
- large head green cabbage - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste optional - 1 item
- small tomatoes or 1 can tomatoes, drained - 4 item
- slices bacon, fried crisp optional - 3 item
How to make skillet cabbage:
Chop vegetables coarsely. Heat large skillet or wok to medium-high setting, using bacon drippings or two teaspoons of vegetable oil. Pour all vegetables into skillet or wok and cover. Cook 8 to 10 minutes only to heat vegetables and remove from heat while slightly crisp. May top with crisp crumbled bacon.Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Vegetables.
