  • to 3 peeled, sliced raw potatoes - 2 item
  • each: chopped green pepper and chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • uncooked rice brown or white - 3/4 c
  • to 3 sliced raw carrots - 2 item
  • lean hamburger crumble over the whole thing - 1 lb
  • cans tomato sauce plus 1 sauce can water - 2 oz

How to make six-layer dinner:

In a large rectangular buttered baking dish, layer all the ingredients in the order listed. Cover and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350°. Serves 4 to 6.
