Sidewalk chalk

Ingredients/Components

• cold water - 1 c
• plaster of paris - 2 c
• tempera paint if you want colored chalk - 1 item

How to make sidewalk chalk:

You will also need wax paper and toilet paper cores or paper towel cores, cut in 4-inch lengths.

Mix ingredients until smooth and starts to thicken. Roll wax paper and insert in cores. Twist bottom of wax paper and secure with wire twisters or small rubberband. Divide mixture into parts and add color. Pour into cores. Dry 2 to 3 days in upright position on plastic lids or paper cups. Leave core on for extra strength and tear down as needed.
