How to make scripture cake:

Make it a family project to look up the ingredients. All are found in the Bible (KJV).

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add honey and beat well.

Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk. Stir in raisins, chopped figs and slivered almonds. Bake in two greased loaf pans at 350° for 1 hour or until done.
