  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 3/4 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • cocoa - 6 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • white or brown sugar - 1 c

How to make scratch brownies:

Melt butter and cocoa together. Microwave on High 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Add sugar, then other ingredients. Microwave on High 5 1/2 to 6 minutes.

Use 2 eggs for cake-type.
