Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- melted butter
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 1/2
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- onions - 1/4 c
- cubed and toasted white bread - 1 c
How to make scalloped tomatoes:
Saute onions in butter. Add sugar, basil, salt and pepper. Arrange one-half of tomatoes in 1-quart greased casserole. Top with one-half bread cubes. Repeat layer. Bake uncovered at 375° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Kosher.
