Savory meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- eggs, lightly beaten - 2 item
- cornmeal - 1/3 c
- dry mustard - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- ground beef - 2 lb
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- each cans cream of mushroom soup, undiluted - 2 3/4
How to make savory meatballs:
In a mixing bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Add beef and mix well. Shape into 2-inch balls.In a skillet, melt the shortening over medium-high heat. Brown meatballs. Place in casserole dish. Combine soup and water; pour over meatballs. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes. Yields 8 servings.
