Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- water - 1/2 c
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- finely chopped pecans - 1 c
- rum - 1/2 c
- box Duncan Hines Butter Recipe cake mix - 1 item
- box vanilla pudding - 1 3/4
- Sprinkle nuts on bottom of pan
How to make rum cake:
Cake: Grease and flour a Bundt or tube pan. Sprinkle nuts on bottom of pan. Mix cake mix and pudding. Add remaining ingredients; beat for 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 325° for 50 to 60 minutes, until tested done. Carefully loosen edges with a dull knife. Leave in pan. Prick cake with a fork to absorb glaze. Pour glaze over hot cake. Let stand 20 minutes. Invert onto a serving plate.Glaze:1 stick margarine1 c. powdered sugar1/4 c. rum Glaze: Combine ingredients in a saucepan.
