  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 1/3 c
  • water - 1 c
  • cocoa - 3/4 c
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • miniature marshmallows - 1 c
  • mayonnaise - 1 c
  • seedless raisins optional - 1 c
  • 2/3 powdered sugar - 2 item
  • In small bowl mix together nuts, raisins, marshmallows and chocolate pieces

How to make rocky road cake:

Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch cake pan or 12-cup fluted cake pan. In small bowl mix together nuts, raisins, marshmallows and chocolate pieces. In large bowl mix at low speed cake mix, eggs, mayonnaise and water until blended. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed. Stir in nut mixture and pour into pan. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until done (toothpick inserted into middle of cake will come out clean). Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Fluted pan cake should be removed and cake cooled on wire rack.

Icing: Mix chocolate pieces (1/4 cup), 1/4 cup walnuts and raisins and mix together. Mix in well with canned milk chocolate cake icing or prepare homemade icing.Homemade Icing:6 tsp. soft butter or margarine3/4 c. cocoa2 2/3 powdered sugar1/3 c. milk1 tsp. vanilla Cream butter in small bowl. Add cocoa and sugar mixture and alternate with milk. Beat into spreading consistency (may add tablespoon extra milk). Blend in vanilla.
