Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening part butter - 1/2 c

How to make refrigerator cookies:

Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour, soda and salt. Add nuts, if desired. Mix well. Form into rolls and refrigerate for 3 to 6 hours. Slice and bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes. Serves 4 dozen.
