- chopped nuts - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- sifted flour
- box confectioners sugar - 1 item
- Add other ingredients in order and mix thoroughly
- oil 1 c
How to make red velvet cake:
Sift together dry ingredients. Add other ingredients in order and mix thoroughly. Bake in layer cake pans which have been greased and floured. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.Filling and Frosting:1 stick oleo1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 c. chopped nuts1 box confectioners sugar1/2 tsp. vanilla Let oleo and cream cheese soften at room temperature.
