Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- granulated sugar - 2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 2/3 c
- unsifted flour
- molasses - 2/3 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- seedless raisins - 2/3 c
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
- canned mashed pumpkin - 2 c
- hot water or 1/3 c - 2/3 c
How to make pumpkin bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease two 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans. Add hot water (or sherry) to raisins and set aside to cool.
