- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- big jar baby prunes - 1 item
- fresh, black walnuts - 1 c
How to make prune cake:
Sift the flour with soda, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and allspice; sift into vanilla, eggs, sugar, oil, buttermilk and prunes. Mix and add nuts. Bake in an iron skillet at 275° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. This is especially good on a fall evening served warm.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
