Ingredients/Components
- large potatoes, peeled - 3 item
- finely grated onion - 3 Tbsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 1/3 c
- oil for frying - 1 item
How to make potato pancakes:
Grate the potatoes by hand or in a food processor. Stir in the onion, eggs, salt, pepper and flour. Heat a thin layer of oil in a large heavy skillet. Drop the potato mixture by heaping tablespoonfuls into the oil, flattening each mound with a spatula. Fry the pancakes for about 4 minutes (until golden brown) on each side.
