Portuguese sweet bread

- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt
- flour - 7 8
- butter - 1/2 c
- plus 2 Tbsp - 1/2 c
- caraway seed - 1/3 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make portuguese sweet bread:
Boil caraway seed in 1 cup water for 15 minutes. Strain and keep water. Moisten yeast with 2 tablespoons warm water; add 1 tablespoon sugar and stir until dissolved. Scald milk (combined with water). Add butter and salt. Cool; add yeast and 1/4 cup caraway liquid. Place 2 1/2 cups flour in bowl; add liquid. Beat dough; stir in 2 1/2 cups flour. Cover bowl; allow to double. Beat eggs, take out 2 tablespoons; add remaining sugar to beaten eggs. Stir into dough. Add 2 to 3 cups flour; divide dough into round loaves. Cover and allow to double. Brush surface with egg.
