Pork kabobs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- garlic salt - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- minced fresh parsley - 1 Tbsp
- garlic clove, minced - 1 item
- chopped cucumber - 1/2 c
- dried marjoram - 1/2 tsp
- Pita bread - 1 item
- boneless pork, cut into 1 inch cubes - 2 lb
- Seal or cover and refrigerate overnight
How to make pork kabobs:
In resealable plastic bag or shallow glass container, combine the first 8 ingredients; add pork and toss to coat. Seal or cover and refrigerate overnight. Drain pork and discard marinade; thread pork on skewers, leaving a small space between pieces. Grill, uncovered, over medium coals for 8-10 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink, turning frequently. Serve in pita bread with sauce.Cucumber Yogurt Sauce:1 carton (8 oz.) plain yogurt1/2 c. chopped cucumber1 Tbsp. chopped onion1 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley1 tsp. lemon juice1/8 tsp. garlic salt Combine sauce ingredients; cover and refrigerate for several hours.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Pork.
