  • butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • salt
  • oil - 2 Tbsp
  • all-purpose flour - 3 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • can chicken broth - 1 item
  • loin chops - 6 item
  • medium onion, sliced - 1 item
  • thin sliced potatoes - 6 c

How to make pork chops with scalloped potatoes:

In saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add chicken broth; cook and stir until mixture boils. Cook one minute; set aside. Brown chops in oil; season with additional salt and pepper, if desired.

In a 13 x 9-inch casserole (greased), layer potatoes and onion. Pour the broth over them and place chops on top. Cover and bake 1 hour at 350°. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender.
