Pork chops with scalloped potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- salt
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- can chicken broth - 1 item
- loin chops - 6 item
- medium onion, sliced - 1 item
- thin sliced potatoes - 6 c
How to make pork chops with scalloped potatoes:
In saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add chicken broth; cook and stir until mixture boils. Cook one minute; set aside. Brown chops in oil; season with additional salt and pepper, if desired.In a 13 x 9-inch casserole (greased), layer potatoes and onion. Pour the broth over them and place chops on top. Cover and bake 1 hour at 350°. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender.
