Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 1 Tbsp
  • cream of tartar - 2 tsp
  • vanilla optional - 1 tsp
  • assorted food coloring optional - 1 item

How to make play dough:

Cook all ingredients in 1 1/2-quart saucepan on medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes until forms a stiff ball stirring constantly. Take dough out of saucepan and let stand for 5 minutes. Knead dough about 30 seconds or until well blended and smooth. Cool completely. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Will last about 6 weeks.
