Ingredients/Components

  • cornstarch - 1/2 c
  • cold water - 1 c
  • envelope unflavored gelatin - 1 item
  • hot water - 2 c
  • food coloring - 1 item
  • liquid detergent - 1/2 c

How to make finger paints:

Dissolve cornstarch in 3/4 to 1 cup of cold water. Add hot water to cornstarch mixture. Cook over medium heat. Stir constantly, until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Blend in gelatin. Add liquid detergent and stir well. Divide into 5 or 6 portions. Add food coloring.
