  • sugar
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • butter - 1 c
  • confectioners sugar
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • sifted flour - 3 c
  • drained, crushed pineapple - 1 c
  • undrained, crushed pineapple - 3/4 c

How to make pineapple pound cake:

Glaze:1/4 c. butter1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar1 c. drained, crushed pineapple Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating each. Add flour and milk alternately. Beat well in between mixture. Add vanilla and pineapple with juice. Place in a cold oven. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick is clean after testing for doneness.

Glaze: Cream soft butter and confectioners sugar. Blend in crushed pineapple. Spread on heavily while cake is hot, once cake is turned out of cake pan.
