Peppered rib eye steaks
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 1
- ground red pepper - 1 tsp
- parsley sprigs optional - 1 item
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- lemon pepper - 1 tsp
- orange slices optional - 1 item
- dried ground thyme - 2 tsp
- dried ground oregano - 2 tsp
- beef rib eye steaks 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick - 4 item
How to make peppered rib eye steaks:
Brush steaks lightly with olive oil. In a small bowl, combine all seasonings. Sprinkle seasonings over steaks and press into both sides. Cover and chill for 1 hour. Grill steaks, turning once, over medium-hot coals 14 to 18 minutes for rare; 18 to 22 minutes for medium; 24 to 28 minutes for well done. Place on warm serving platter; cut across the grain into thick slices. Garnish with orange slices and parsley, if desired. Yield: 8 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
