  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • sifted flour - 3 c
  • peanut butter - 1 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • beaten eggs - 2 item

How to make peanut butter cookies:

Cream shortening, sugars and vanilla. Add eggs and beat thoroughly. Stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients and stir into the creamed mixture. Form dough into tiny balls. Press out each ball with a fork. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Makes about 8 dozen cookies.
