Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/4 c
- sugar - 1 c
- flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- powdered sugar
- soft butter - 1 Tbsp
- peanut butter - 1/4 c
- sour milk or buttermilk - 1 c
- hot water approximately - 2 3
How to make peanut butter cake:
Peanut Butter Icing:2 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. soft butter2 to 3 Tbsp. hot water (approximately)1/2 c. peanut butter For cake, combine flour and soda in small bowl; set aside. Cream sugar, butter and peanut butter in a large bowl. Beat in egg. Add sour milk, alternating it with flour mixture. Pour into greased 7 x 11-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. (For bars, spread batter in 9 x 13-inch pan, bake 20 to 25 minutes.) Cool and spread with Peanut Butter Icing.
