  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • salt
  • flour - 4 c
  • baking powder
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • peanut butter - 1 c
  • chopped peanuts - 1/2 c
  • brown sugar, firmly packed

How to make peanut butter brownies:

Combine eggs, sugars, peanut butter, shortening and vanilla; blend thoroughly. Add dry ingredients; mix only until dough is smooth. Spread evenly in two lightly greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pans (or three 13 x 9 x 2-inch). Sprinkle with peanuts. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Cut into 3 x 1-inch bars and cool in pans on rack. Makes about 8 dozen.
