Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • flour
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • egg - 1 item
  • brown sugar, packed - 3/4 c
  • peanut butter smooth - 1/4 c

How to make peanut butter bars:

Icing:1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips1/2 c. peanut butter (smooth) Mix batter ingredients together in a bowl; pack into greased 9 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Cool. Frost. Makes 36 squares.

Icing: Melt icing ingredients together in a saucepan over low heat. Spread on cooled bars. Cut proportions down if you want just a showing on top of bars.
