Peanut brittle
Ingredients/Components
- white Karo syrup - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- sugar - 3 c
- raw peanuts - 1 lb
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
How to make peanut brittle:
Grease 2 cookie sheets. In saucepan, add the Karo syrup, water and sugar. Using a candy thermometer, heat the ingredients to 270°. Add the peanuts and continue heating to 300°. Remove from heat and add the butter and vanilla. Then add the baking soda and salt, stirring and pouring quickly onto the greased cookie sheets.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Candy.
