Peaches and cream
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- plus 1 Tbsp - 1/2 c
- plain flour - 1 c
- butter soft - 3 Tbsp
- peach juice - 3 Tbsp
- small box vanilla pudding - 1 item
- cream cheese soft and 1/2 8 oz - 1 (8
- fresh peaches or 1 large can, drained and cut up - 2 c
How to make peaches and cream:
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, pudding, butter, egg, 1/2 (8 ounce) cream cheese and milk. Beat for 2 minutes. Pour into greased baking dish. Place peaches in a single layer on top of batter. Combine cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and peach juice. Beat for 2 minutes. Spoon on top of peaches within 1-inch of the edge of batter. Mix remaining tablespoon sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over top. Bake in 350° oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until light brown. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.Recipe categories: Desserts, Lunch/snacks, Side dish.
