Peach upside-down cake
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/3 c
- ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
- box yellow cake mix - 1 item
- firmly packed light brown sugar - 2/3 c
- sliced peaches, well drained - 1 can
How to make peach upside-down cake:
Pour butter or margarine into 9 x 13-inch pan. Stir in brown sugar and ground cloves; spread over bottom of pan. Arrange peach slices in pattern over sugar mixture. Prepare yellow cake mix according to package directions. Spread over sugar and peaches, evenly. Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes or until center springs back when pressed with finger tips. Loosen edges of cake with knife and immediately invert onto serving plate. Let stand 1 or 2 minutes. Lift off pan. Serve warm or cool.
