Peach kuchen
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- unsifted flour
- sliced, peeled peaches - 4 c
- egg yolks or 1 egg, slightly beaten - 2 item
How to make peach kuchen:
Mix 1 1/3 cups flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cut in butter with 2 knives until crumbly. Stir in 2 tablespoons sour cream. Turn into 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan or 10-inch quiche. Pat evenly, making crust. Bake in 375° oven for 20 minutes.Spread peaches on baked crust. Mix remaining 2 tablespoons flour, salt, sour cream, egg yolks, sugar and cinnamon. Pour over peaches. Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes, until bubbly. Serve warm. Makes 8 servings.
