- stalks celery, chopped - 3 item
- split peas - 1 lb
- to 4 carrots, chopped - 3 item
- to 3 medium potatoes, cubed - 2 item
- smoked sausage or use both - 1 bone,
How to make pea soup:
Wash peas in pan. Add 2 quarts water. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Let peas soak overnight. Add all veggies and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer until tender. Add meat and simmer for 2 to 3 hours.Recipe categories: Weeknight, Vegetables, Soups & stews.
