  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • coconut - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • plain flour - 2 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • oatmeal - 1 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • orange slice candy, chopped - 1 c
  • pecans, chopped - 1 c

How to make orange slice cookies:

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add coconut. Mix dry ingredients and add them. Add oatmeal, candy and nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 375° about 10 minutes or until done. Makes 5 dozen.
