eggs - 4 item
vanilla - 1 tsp
salt - 1 tsp
flour - 4 c
brown sugar - 2 c
soda - 2 tsp
baking powder - 1 tsp
shortening - 2 c
oatmeal - 4 c
white sugar - 2 c
cornflakes - 4 c

How to make oatmeal cornflake cookies:

Cream together shortening, sugars and eggs. Sift together flour, soda, salt and baking powder and add gradually to first mixture. With large spoon, add and mix the vanilla, oatmeal and cornflakes. Form balls about the size of a small hickory nut on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 9 to 11 minutes. Do not overbake. Makes 10 dozen.
