  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • brown sugar
  • water - 2 Tbsp
  • soda - 3 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 1 pkg
  • shortening
  • oatmeal - 4 c
  • white sugar
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • walnuts - 1 c

How to make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies:

Cream shortening and sugars; add eggs and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Add dry ingredients and water, then stir in oatmeal, chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Do not overbake!
