  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • coconut - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • oatmeal - 1 c
  • Cream together the brown sugar, sugar, shortening and vanilla

How to make oatmeal brownies:

Mix oatmeal and boiling water together and set aside. Cream together the brown sugar, sugar, shortening and vanilla. Add the eggs and mix well. Add flour, soda and salt; mix well. Stir in the oatmeal mix. Pour in a 10 x 15-inch greased pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Frosting:1/2 c. butter1 c. brown sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 Tbsp. milk1 c. coconut Boil together the butter, brown sugar, vanilla and milk. Boil for 1 minute. Add the coconut and spread on brownies.
