Molasses coconut chews
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- shortening - 1 c
- molasses - 1/4 c
- sifted flour - 4 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- coconut flakes - 1 c
How to make molasses coconut chews:
Cream together the white and brown sugar and the shortening. Add the beaten eggs, vanilla and molasses. Beat well. Sift together the flour, soda and salt and stir in. Stir in coconut flakes. Shape into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet about 3 inches apart. Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie.
