Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- cocoa - 1/3 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- Crisco - 1 c
- Icing:1 box powdered sugar
- Nucoa - 1/2 c
How to make mississippi mud cake:
Icing:1 box powdered sugar1/3 c. cocoa1/2 c. Nucoa1/2 c. evaporated milk1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts Cake: Cream sugar and Crisco. Beat in eggs by hand. Sift flour, cocoa and salt; add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla and chopped nuts. Pour into greased pan. Bake at 300° for 25 minutes. Arrange marshmallows on top. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Cool and top with icing.Icing: Sift powdered sugar and cocoa. Stir in Nucoa, evaporated milk, vanilla and nuts. Spread on cake.
