Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- ketchup - 5 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1 to
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- can water - 1 item
- cracker crumbs - 1 c
- chopped green peppers - 1/4 c
- Sauce:1 small onion
- can tomatoes, drain juice - 1 item
How to make meat loaf:
Sauce:1 small onion1 can tomato soup1 can water2 Tbsp. brown sugar5 Tbsp. ketchup1/2 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. pepper1/2 tsp. dry mustard Combine ingredients for sauce; cook for 5 minutes. Add two tablespoons butter. Reserve one cup of sauce.Combine ingredients for meat loaf. Shape in pan. Pour all but reserved cup of sauce over meat loaf. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350°, basting often. When ready to serve, heat reserved cup of sauce and pour over meat loaf.
