Ingredients/Components
- potatoes, peeled and cubed
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- milk - 1/4 c
- butter or margarine
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese
- sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled - 1/4 lb
- sliced green onions - 3 item
How to make mashed potatoes:
Put potatoes in a pot; cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and let simmer until tender. Drain and place in a mixing bowl. Add sour cream, milk, butter, salt and pepper. Beat until light and fluffy. Blend in 2 cups cheese, bacon and onions. Put potatoes in a greased baking dish; top with remaining cheese. Bake in 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until cheese is melted and potatoes are heated through.Recipe categories: Low protein, Potato, Vegetables.
