Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 5 Tbsp
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • cocoa - 1/4 c
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • plain flour - 2/3 c
  • nuts, chopped - 1 c
  • large marshmallows - 1 item
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • Mix in bowl the sugar, cocoa and beaten eggs

How to make marshmallow brownies:

Melt margarine in a 12 x 8-inch pan. Mix in bowl the sugar, cocoa and beaten eggs. Pour the melted margarine into the mixture. Add flour, vanilla and chopped nuts. When blended, pour into floured pan (the one you melted the margarine in). Bake for 15 minutes at 350°. Remove from oven. Place large marshmallows 1 inch apart on top. Return to oven for 5 minutes more. Remove from oven and press marshmallows flat with fork. When cool, frost.Frosting:3 Tbsp. butter5 Tbsp. milk1 box powdered sugar Combine in a saucepan the butter and milk. When melted, add powdered sugar. Spread over brownies. (I prefer chocolate icing so I add 1/4 cup cocoa to powdered sugar.)
