- butter, softened - 1/2 c
- sugar
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- juice of 1 lemon
- grated rind of 1 lemon
- In a large bowl combine all ingredients, except glaze
How to make lemon tea bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl combine all ingredients, except glaze. Beat until thoroughly mixed. Spoon batter into greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Bake for one hour, or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Remove bread from pan. In small bowl combine all glaze ingredients. Beat until completely mixed. Spread over warm loaf.
