Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 2 c
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar
- plain flour
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- soft butter or margarine - 1 c
How to make lemon bars:
Mix butter, 2 cups flour and 1/2 cup powdered sugar together. Pat in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Sift granulated sugar, 1/4 cup flour and baking powder together. Add eggs and lemon juice. Mix until smooth. Spread over crust. Bake 25 minutes longer. Let cool 10 minutes, then frost.Frosting: With 1 cup powdered sugar, add enough lemon juice to make a glaze.
