Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- mayonnaise - 2 c
- Cheddar cheese, shredded - 1 c
- black olives, sliced
- bell pepper, diced - 1 item
- real bacon bits - 1 item
- frozen green peas - 10 oz
- water chestnuts, chopped - 1 item
- lettuce medium head, torn in small pieces - 1 item
How to make layered salad:
Layer first 7 ingredients as listed in glass 9 x 12-inch dish. Mix mayonnaise and sugar. Carefully spread mayonnaise mixture over lettuce. Sprinkle cheese and bacon bits on top. Cover tightly and refrigerate. Serves 10 to 12.Recipe categories: Salads, 3 steps or less, > 1 day.
