Layered vegetable salad
Ingredients/Components
- chopped celery - 1 item
- chopped green pepper - 1 item
- chopped green onions - 1 item
- bacon bits - 1 item
- lettuce - 1 item
- shredded cheese - 1 item
- salad dressing or mayonnaise - 1 item
- English peas, drained - 1 item
- hard-cooked eggs, sliced - 4 item
- chopped tomatoes, drained - 1 item
How to make layered vegetable salad:
Use a large glass bowl, if available. Layer lettuce in bottom of bowl. Add a layer of sliced eggs, standing some up on the side of bowl. Add a layer of chopped onions, celery and pepper. Add another layer of lettuce. Add a layer of English peas. Add a layer of chopped tomatoes. Add a layer of shredded cheese. Spread a layer of mayonnaise over the top of it all, sealing to the edge of the bowl. Sprinkle with a layer of bacon bits. Cover and let set overnight.
