Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise or salad dressing - 1 c
- can water chestnuts, drained and sliced - 1 1/2
- small red onion, chopped - 1 item
- slices bacon, crisply fried and crumbled - 6 item
- head lettuce, torn in bite size pieces - 1 item
- thinly sliced radishes optional - 1 c
How to make layered salad:
Layer lettuce, celery, green pepper, onion, peas, water chestnuts and radishes in a large salad bowl. Spread mayonnaise over top, sealing layers completely. Chill 24 hours or overnight. Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Toss before serving.Recipe categories: Salads, 3 steps or less, > 1 day.
